Bad weather in Moscow delays flights

The Russian Knights aerobatic team, which was missing in action on the first two days of Aero India show, is expected to land at the Yelahanka Air Force Station on Friday.

After having missed the first day (Wednesday), the team was expected on Thursday.
Although they have reached Delhi, the team could not make it to Bangalore owing to some clearance issue.

A press officer of the team told Deccan Herald, “We have reached Delhi but there is a clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) that we are awaiting.”

MHA sources later confirmed that the team had been cleared to fly to Bangalore. “There was no real problem, just a bureaucratic delay as they had landed here late,” the source said.

The press officer said the team, which is at the Hindon Air Force Station, will finally arrive on Friday.

On Thursday, a few officials at the airshow said the team might only be present for static display, but there was no confirmation. The press officer, however, said they will fly.
