Protest against derogatory remarks

The protesters gathered at the New Bus stand circle and demanded that “Dhananjay Kumar has violated the Section 12 of Human Rights Act 1993 by making derogatory remarks against the president. Neither the government nor the ministry has the right to question the   powers of the Commission. Yet he has issued such statements.  He should apologise”.

One day’s salary

They also mentioned that the president and employees of the Commission have decided to donate one day’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. In this context at least Dhananjakumar should stop making such derogatory remarks, they urged. S K Vivekanand, M B Amar Singh of the Karnataka Human Rights Forum led the protest.
