Co-op society asked to pay Rs 25,000


K C Mariswamy, the consumer had not only paid up Rs 20,500 to these two parties as stamp duty and registration charges for the site but had also won it by a lottery from them.

He was allotted site No 191 in 2004, which was registered in the Sub-Registrar’ office.
But then the Society and K P Champakadhama Swamy asked him to pay up Rs 62,000 for betterment charges. When he refused, they gave him a hard time to snatch the site from him.

Being harassed he complained to this forum. Its President Bajentri H M found both of them guilty of deficient service and has ordered them to pay up Rs 25,000 to him as compensation and handover the possession of the site.

Vinod Bhatsoori had given a parcel to Franch Express Network Pvt Ltd in Palace Guttahalli.

It contained a mobile phone and he had paid Rs 90 as courier charges. However, the mobile never reached the destination.

He had approached the Consumer forum seeking relief. The case was dismissed, as the Court notice could not be served on the opposite party for lack of correct address.
