Rotary conference on February 16, 17

 The 36th Rotary District Conference ‘Akarshan’ by the Rotary International District 3190 will be held on February 16 and 17 at the Palace Grounds.

“Our focus this year will be to build 200 homes for the economically weaker sections of the society in partnership with Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation, support the eye hospitals and complete the signature project of eight more dialysis centres with 50 machines to be installed across the City among others,” said District Governor, Rtn R Badri Prasad.

Chairman District Conference 2013, Rtn Prabhakar Bothireddy said that the conference was an opportunity for all the Rotary Clubs in the district to interact and discuss projects to highlight the importance of Rotary and its policies.

The event will also witness the spectacle of ‘Abilities Unlimited’ by maestro Guruji Syed Salahuddin Pasha and his team of challenged artists.

The conference will be inaugurated by Head of Vedanta Mission Jaya Row and past District Governor from Chandigarh, Rtn R S Parimar.

Key note speakers include social activist Kiran Bedi and Dr B M Hegde.
