Delhi University is compiling a list of Frequently Asked Questions for its four-year-graduation course that is to be implemented from the next academic session.

The task force is responsible to formulate the four-year-graduation course structure. “The work has already started on compiling a list of questions regarding the new graduation structure,” said a member.

A senior DU official said FAQs will be quite detailed. “Around 600 pages of FAQs will be uploaded. However, there is no confirmation on it yet,” he said.

DU has a section of FAQs with 73 questions and answers for the existing system. It covers important points from admissions to issues related to foreign students, reserved category students, marks required, and fee structure.

“There are few questions which will remain unchanged like the criteria for reserved category admissions etc. Because we are the first university in the country to implement it, we want to clear all doubts,” added the official.

DU had constituted an information centre last year. “The telephone lines at the information centre have not stopped ringing. Therefore, we thought of a detailed FAQs, to slightly unburden the information centre,” added the official.

“There are specific questions which are asked by students repeatedly during and after the admissions. Those questions will be included in the FAQs,” the official added.

“These questions and answers will not only be limited to guiding students through the admission process, but they will also include regular queries about academics and administration,” added the official.
