Police deny permission for SDPI bike rally in Madikeri

In the backdrop of launching SDPI in New Delhi, the district unit of SDPI had planned to take out bike rally on Monday. However, police denied permission for bike rally in the last minute. The party workers held a meeting at Gaddige premises. They decided to stage a protest against the police.

District President Sanavulla said “they have made pre plans to prevent the commencement of the rally. Our workers have not violated the rules.”

Popular Front of India district President and SDPI leader Aboobakar said police are acting like the followers of Sangh Parivar. There is no protection for Muslims in police stations. Police are treating all the Muslims who go to police station as KFD activists, he added.
He said SDPI committees have been formed in 16 states, he informed.

Organising Secretary Amin said “police are acting like communal agents. The government was busy with yogasana when flood ravaged North Karnataka.”  The party workers shouted slogans against the police.
