Wedding guests checked in previous night

Wedding bells rang across most of the marriage halls in the City, booked for the auspicious occasion on Wednesday, with no effect of transport services being disrupted.

However, keeping in mind the possibility of ‘non-availability’ of transport on Wednesday, some guests checked-in the previous evening to ensure that they do not miss the event involving their near and dear ones.

“Most of our relatives came from far-off places yesterday. They occupied the rooms in the wedding hall at West of Chord road,” said Karthik N S, who was attending the wedding of his cousin.

At the other end, Kishan Vasista said that wedding halls were packed with the usual hustle bustle with no impact of the strike showing on the streets. “I was able to drop my parents and relatives to the wedding hall without any trouble. We were also able to book a cab for the return journey, as there were no autorickshaws available,” he said.
