The culprits who gained entry into the bank premises, however, failed to secure access to the strong room.

The victim Mohan Raj (55), a native of Tamil Nadu was working for the Clean and Clear Facility and Management Services. His body was found in a water sump near the security rest room, adjoining the bank.

The assailants gained entry into the bank through a ventilator opening which is from the guard rest room. They broke open many cupboards and searched for valuables but could not find any. The CCTV cameras installed in the bank have captured the sequence of events.

Mohan Raj had taken voluntary retirement from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and joined the security firm. He was staying in Munireddypalya and was on night shift.
The incident came to light when the day shift guard came to relieve him.

Police are of the opinion that someone who had earlier worked in the bank might have joined hands and attempted to loot the bank.

House burgled

The thieves broke open front door to gain entry. Antony returned late in the night and was shocked to see the door wide open.
