The city experienced moderate rainfall and there was a fall in temperature by Sunday evening. Bangalore recorded 16.2 mm of rainfall in the city and about 20 mm of rainfall around the old airport. The rainfall is expected to continue for the next three days not only in the city, but also in the entire State.
Met Department Director A Muthuchami told Deccan Herald that the rain is due to the trough of low pressure in the south-west Bay of Bengal.
“We can expect more rainfall in the coming days all over Karnataka. Some places in South Karnataka will receive more than 7 cms of rainfall, while coastal Karnataka will receive heavy rainfall,” he said.

More rains expected

North Karnataka is also expected to get a sizeable amount of rainfall. The city itself, meanwhile, will also have slightly lowered temperatures, thanks to the sustained rain.
