Last Updated 25 February 2013, 20:23 IST

Irked by refusal to issue a recommendation letter, a youth pelted stones at the official vehicles of Health and Family Welfare Minister Aravind Limbavali at Thippasandra in J B Nagar police limits on Monday.

The glass window panes of the minister’s car were broken to pieces. The police registered a case against Doddappa, 24, for his act and arrested him later. Doddappa hails from Gulbarga and was a contract employee with Karnataka Milk Federation.

He had met the minister a few days ago and had requested him to take steps to regularise his services.

Limbavali had assured him that he would give him a letter recommending regularisation of his services, police said.

He went to the Minister’s house at Thippasandra and requested for the letter at around 1 pm, but the minister refused to issue him any letter.

An irked Doddappa came out of the minister’s residence and pelted stones at his car, police said.
