Sadananda Gowda ridicules BSY

Last Updated 28 February 2013, 17:33 IST

Former Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda ridiculed his predecessor B S Yeddyurappa for gaining  mileage for his new KJP party by stating developmental works taken up during his tenure as Chief Minister.

Speaking at the BJP election campaign convention for Mangalore City Corporation at Town Hall, he said "It is foolish to claim that the Chief Minister has done all achievements.

The person is made CM by the party and he is only the nominal head to implement the party manifesto and decisions taken up by the party core committee. 'Sakaala' was implemented when I was the CM. However, I shall not take credit for it as it was the decision by the party and I only implemented it," he said.

Operation Kamala

BJP faced political turmoils because of Operation Kamala. It has caused a lot of problem for BJP.

However, the people who caused it have left the party and BJP is now a clean party with good leaders, he said.

"BJP did not outcast Yeddyurappa. He quit for his own mistakes. In a matter of fact, when he lost MLA elections in Shikaripura, the party made him MLC. BJP does not need Yeddyurappa anymore, as he has hurt the party and people will not accept him," he concluded.
