<p>The Joint Parliamentary Committee on 2G spectrum allocation is unlikely to call former telecom minister A Raja despite his request to depose before the panel as witness.<br /><br /></p>.<p>“The committee has started drafting the report. At this juncture we have not decided to call Raja,” P C Chacko, chairman of the committee, told Deccan Herald.<br />As the panel has to submit the report in the current session of Parliament, it is running short of time, he said. <br /><br />The committee can’t call anybody just because of his desire to appear before it. <br /><br />Before calling anybody, the panel will first see whether it will help to probe the issue and then take a collective decision, he said.</p>
