<p>In an internet-based move to bring Budget 2013-14 to the people, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram will take questions on its proposals Monday on a multi-party online video conference on Google+ Hangout.<br /><br /></p>.<p>It will be the first time any cabinet minister is using the internet to interact with citizens and to answer queries on the union budget, a finance ministry release said Sunday.<br /><br />Chidambaram will respond to netizens' questions on Budget 2013-14 at 8 p.m. Monday. <br /><br />He will be joined by a select group of panellists including Jahangir Aziz, senior Asia economist and India chief economist at JP Morgan; Anand Mahindra, CMD Mahindra & Mahindra; Amit Singhal, senior vice-president, Google Inc. and Manish Chokhani, CEO, Axis Capital.<br /><br />Last year, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had used Google Hangout to connect with voters during his election campaign.<br /><br />Google+ Hangouts are multi-party video chats that allow up to 10 people to participate at the same time. The hangout can be later shared on YouTube or streamed live using Hangouts on Air.<br /><br />Citizens can submit their questions before the hangout by uploading a video, by commenting on the YouTube channel or through the Google India Page and tagging text or a video with the hashtag #askthefm, the ministry said.<br /></p>
