Nagalapura village sans 'road'

However, there is no proper road to Nagalapura and the only road which leads to the village has not been asphalted so far.

The unpaved road to Nagalapura village from N R Pura, which also connects B H Kaimara and Hosakere, becomes muddy and unmotorable during rainy season. Though villagers had made pleas several times for the asphaltation of the road, none of the authorities concerned responded.

As gram panchayat expresses their helplessness pointing out deficit budget, people’s dream for a good road continues to be a dream.

The volunteers of Government PU College NSS unit had carried out repair works in 2008. Meanwhile, gram panchayat forgets their responsibility by dumping stones on pot-holes. Hence, people themselves have to carry out maintenance work.

Though the Prime Minister’s Grameen Sadak Yojana is being implemented in villages across the nation, the road in Nagalapura yet to see development. Gram Panchayat President Raghavendra told Deccan Herald that there is no provision for the gram panchayat to asphalt a road.
