In a major embarrassment to the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal, another minor was allegedly raped by five people in the early hours on Monday in Jadavpur, the police said.
The incident happened around 3 am on Monday when two girls after completing their Shivratri puja went to a pond to bathe when some miscreants started misbehaving.
However, one girl managed to escape, while another girl, a 14-year-old, was taken to a building under construction and was brutally raped. The girl later disclosed the incident to her family and they lodged a complaint at Jadavpur police station on Monday morning.
