BJP leader Yashwant Sinha on Monday threatened to quit his Lok Sabha membership protesting party chief Rajnath Singh’s decision to appoint Ravindra Rai as new Jharkhand unit head.
Sinha is said to have spoken his piece of mind before top leaders, including L K Advani, that met before the parliamentary proceedings began on Monday as Rai is close to his political rival and former Jharkhand chief minister Arjun Munda.
Party sources said that the former finance minister is also making noises in the party so that he does not get sidelined owing to the impression gaining ground that the former BJP chief Nitin Gadkari continues to enjoy clout in the present dispensation.
