Shrishti is holding an ethnic-chic exhibition, ‘The Summer Collection 2013’, by Latha Puttanna on March 15 and 16, 10 am to 8 pm at Rain Tree, No 4, Sankey Road, High Grounds, opposite Windsor.

The exhibition will showcase her signature style blouses, anarkalis, long skirts, kurtis and tunics that enhance the femininity of the modern woman.

Latha Puttanna’s tryst with colours and cuts has created subtly vivid, timelessly classic ensembles in luscious handloom fabrics such as mal cottons, mangalagiri cottons, cotton silks, ikats, kalamkaris, ajraks, and antique Rajasthani patch-works.

Latha Puttanna has, for 20 years, consistently delivered hallmark creations in women’s ethnic wear.

With her naturally keen eye for colours, sense of design, knowledge of fabrics and understanding of feminine couture, she is a natural at crafting women’s wear using ethnic Indian fabrics, traditional crafts and magic of colours. While she continues to bring an originality of approach and authenticity of traditional art and craft to the women’s ethnic fashion, she effortlessly creates contemporary clothing for today’s woman.

With the creation of Shrishti, an end-to-end design house, Latha Puttanna brings together skilled weavers and artisans from different corners of the country producing garments that are an exquisite fusion of the Shrishti trademark —
