<p> <br />Narayanappa, a resident of Thippasandra in Huttur Hobli of the taluk has said that there was a fight between his family and T M Sonnappa on Oct 13 over a property dispute and he was admitted to district hospital. The head constable obtained the statement at the hospital in the evening on the same day. <br /><br />“However, my statement saying ‘assaulted with a machete on ear’ has been altered as ‘assaulted with hand on ear’ amongst other alteration,” he has said. <br /><br />Narayanappa, in his complaint submitted to the police station, has alleged that the head constable has tampered with the statement in collusion with the accused. <br /><br />He has forwarded a copy of the complaint to Chief Minister, Home Minister, secretary of Home Department and State Human Rights Commission and other higher officiers for suitble action.<br /></p>
