Neha Dhupia might not have managed to snag leading roles in a while — most of her movies have been multi-starrers. But the actress has still managed to create an impact with the characters she has portrayed and is in quite a good place right now.

She has a lot to look forward to as well: not only has she wrapped up shooting for Ungli, which is a Karan Johar production venture, but her first Punjabi film, Rangeelay is also ready to hit the screens. Directed by Renzil D’silva, Ungli is a hard-core thriller that also stars Sanjay Dutt, Emraan Hashmi and Randeep Hooda.

Neha admits that the project has been quite a blessing for her since it gave her an opportunity to work with a talented film-maker. “I am excited (about it). I am looking forward to it. Renzil is a great director. The shooting is pretty much over,” Neha says. “We have shot it in Mumbai,” she adds.

In her debut Punjabi film, Rangeelay, she has teamed up with Jimmy Shergill. Neha confesses that she had to work a lot on her dialogues for this movie because mastering the accent wasn’t easy. “I had to work on it a little bit. My accent wasn’t very great but Jimmy was like, ‘I think, you should start abusing because that’s when you learn the language’,” says the 32-year-old.

Besides this, she has also taken up another film — this one with Viacom. “My next film is a comedy with Viacom and I am looking forward to it. I will talk more about it once I sign the contract,” she promises.
