JOIN USFreida Pinto has been hot property in Hollywood ever since she first caught attention opposite Dev Patel in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. So far, the actress — who is also known for her impeccable sense of fashion — has only tried her hand at western projects.
After the success of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, Freida carved a niche for herself in the international film circuit and later featured in Woody Allen’s ‘You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger’ and Rupert Wyatt’s ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’. However, this is all set to change. Freida will soon be making her Bollywood debut in ‘NH10’.
She will be sharing screen space with actor Rajkumar Yadav, who seems to be quite impressed with his co-star’s down-to-earth attitude. In fact, he describes her as a wonderful person. Seen in films like Love Sex Aur Dhokha and Kai Po Che!, Rajkumar recently met the actress and they seem to have hit it off quite well. “I just met Freida — I was very nervous but she made me feel very comfortable. The best part is that she doesn’t come with the baggage of being a star in Hollywood. She is a wonderful person. I am really looking forward to working with her,” says Rajkumar. The film will probably go on floors by the end of March.
“The film is set in North India and it’s a love story as well as a thriller. We will be undergoing special workshops for the movie soon,” adds the actor. Director Navdeep Singh’s ‘NH10’ is being produced by Vikramaditya Motwane of Udaan fame.
