Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, President Ranjan Kalkura informed that the Parishath has acquired permission from district administration for the concretisation works. The work is taken up in the backdrop of ‘lakshadeepothsava’ which will commence shortly in Krishna Mutt. The first phase of concretisation of the roads was done on September 9, he informed.
The Parishath is also involved in various charity works. It has organised fund raising programmes for flood affected people of North Karnataka districts and has distributed free footwear for as many as 104 students of Nittur School on the occasion of Independence Day. A sum of Rs 2,000 was given by the Parishath to Chandraprakash Rao, a physically disabled person, he added.
General Secretary Vishnu Prasad Padigar, Treasurer Shashiraj Thanthri, Ravi Prakash, Bhaskar Rao Kidiyur and others were present.
