Siddaramaiah violates election code

Karnataka Congress Legislative Party leader Siddaramaiah on Friday faced an embarrassment after he was found violating the model code of conduct by using a government car for his political meetings.

Siddaramaiah, who was here to meet the party central leaders and attend poll-related meetings, was found using the Karnataka government car.
As the news appeared in television channels, he immediately surrendered his car and hired a private vehicle.

As per the model code of conduct using a government car by any political leaders or holding a meeting in government premises is prohibited.
