JCT held by Churchill

After a barren first-half in the keenly contested match, the hosts surged ahead in the 68th minute when defender Baljit Singh Sahni found the back of the net, capitalising on an Ikechuku Orji pass.

JCT hung on to the lead till 88th minute, when Churchill’s Reisangmi Vashum scored to draw parity.

In another match, Dempo and Mahindra United drew 2-2.

Ranty Martins gave Dempo the lead in the 11th minute and Svetozmar Mijin equalised for Mahindras after 60 minutes. Steven Dias (65th) scored to put Mahindras ahead but in a dramatic finish, Climax Lawrence scored three minutes into stoppage time to give Dempo a share of the points.
