The Tourism Ministry will promote the 2015 ''Nabakalebar'' ritual of Jagannath temple, Puri, across the globe and provide funds for infrastructure development for the festival.
The Ministry has also decided to sanction funds to India Tourism Development Corporation for light and sound shows at Konark, Dhauli and Udaygiri.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said this at a meeting here on Saturday he reviewed the action taken on important issues discussed during his interactions with the Union Ministers last year. The Ministry has agreed to deploy two additional BSF battalions for anti-naxalite operations in the state.
