As part of a three-City India tour, Sunburn Arena recently presented Bangaloreans a concert that they will never forget.

DJ Tiesto, one of the most celebrated Electronic Dance Music (EDM) artistes in the world, performed this Saturday at Bhartiya City.

The stage was set, the lights and laser beams created the perfect party mood and the LED screen were impressive.

There was an interesting line-up before the great DJ himself took to the console — a young DJ called (S)haan, followed by ‘BLaNk’ played for the early concert-goers. After this were two of the City’s best known DJs — Tuhin Mehta and Rohit Barker, who
got the party started.

At 8 pm, Tiesto finally kicked off his set and the crowd went crazy.

His two-hour long set had popular numbers like ‘Adagio for Strings’, ‘Maximal Crazy’, ‘C’mon’, each song reinforcing his ‘Tiesto’ sound.

The concert  matched up to the expectation of the thousands of fans who attended.
Other than a vodka bottle thrown at the Dutch DJ and the incredibly long queues to get the wristbands, the party went down quite smoothly.

“It was mad! I came down from Vellore just for this concert and all I can say is
that it was totally worth it. The energy, the music, the entire crowd dancing and jumping in the air for four to five hours straight — it was quite crazy,” said Aman Mehra, an audience member.

He also pointed out that it was annoying to wait in queues for everything.
Sana, another attendee, noted that the live experience was much better than hearing his songs on the laptop.

“I’ve been a big fan of Tiesto since EDM started picking up. I’ve been for a lot of EDM concerts in the past but this was something else. It’s a whole different experience when you watch him at work and see the effect he has on people,” she shares.
