Praja Pragati Ranga releases first list

The Praja Pragati Ranga, a conglomeration of various outfits including the Rajya Raitha Sangha and Hasiru Sene, has released the first list of its 23 candidates.

Ranga president Kodihalli Chandrashekar told a press conference in Bangalore on Wednesday that he would be contesting either from Arasikere or Hassan. Sarvodaya Karnataka president and farmers’ leader K S Puttannaiah will try his luck either from Melkote or Srirangapatna.

Others contesting from the Ranga are: Indudar Angadi - Shikaripur; A C Ravi Kumar Anekere - Holenarsipur; Suresh - Anekal.  He said the SDPI and RPI will field a couple of candidates in Bangalore City, while the rest of the outfits under the Ranga would not put up any candidate.
