The City police on Wednesday conducted raids across the City and arrested 89 habitual offenders ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. The Central division of the City police raided 169 houses and rounded up the suspects. After preliminary background check, 59 of them were sent to judicial custody under IPC Section 107 and 110 (Abetment) of Indian Penal Code, a press release from the police said.
