Out to have fun!

Namrata G, designer:

“I am a regular to all the IPL matches held in the City. The format is fun, and the combination of Bangalore and Mumbai in the opening match in Bangalore is the highlight. I think Chris Gayle truly lived up to the expectations.”

Anu Malik, music director: “It’s all about the Mumbai Indians for me. They have been a good team and a consistent one. Every season, I ensure I make time to be there at the stadium and support them. The match is a very gripping and a tight one. The energy in the stadium is something else.”

Konkona Sen, actress: “I had come to the City to promote my new movie Ek Thi Daayan and when I got to know there was a match, I just had to make a quick stop, since I support the ‘Royal Challengers
Bangalore’.”

Kriti Kharbanda, actress: “An IPL match has its own charm. And the best part is that one just cannot predict anything. In the beginning, when the wickets started falling, I was a bit nervous but then again Chris Gayle really gave his best.”

Sudha Murthy, writer: “I try not to miss a single IPL match in Bangalore. I love cricket in just about any form. Watching young Virat and Chris in action is a treat in itself. For the late-night matches, I have an early dinner and come, so that I can watch the match undisturbed.”

Pannaga, film director: “CCL is an offshoot of IPL and after CCL I usually wait for the IPL, which is a neat blend of cricket and entertainment.”

Venkatesh, actor: “I am shooting in Bangalore and I love cricket. After the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), I couldn’t wait for the IPL to begin. Because of my busy shooting schedule, I don’t really have the time to watch any of the matches but tonight I thought I must come here and cheer the teams.”

Deepika Kamaiah, actress: “I don’t usually follow cricket but the IPL has a different feel altogether. I am a big fan of Chris Gayle and I come to the IPL whenever I can.”
