<p><br />The international youth hostel, a joint project by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) and the Youth Hostels’ Association of India (YHAI), was inaugurated at the Metro quarters on Sunkadakatte Pipeline Road on Sunday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The YHAI and the BMRCL had signed a memorandum of understanding on the project in January this year. BMRCL Managing Director N Sivasailam said, “Now, Bangalore will have a hostel of international standards. The Metro quarters will become a cosmopolitan centre and benefit students.”<br /><br />YHAI national president Harish K Saxena said the hostel will be certified under the Hostelling International Quality norms, a benchmark for hostels with assured standards.</p>
