JOIN USAddressing reporters here on Monday, VHP President Manohara Tulajaram alleged that Muslims are engaged in converting young girls in the name of Love Jihad. School and college heads should keep tabs on girls and boys in their institution, he added.
He said that instances of Love Jihad are being brought to light in shops, pubs, paying guest homes and hostels. Hence, concerned persons in such centres should keep vigil on their inmates and inform police, if required, he suggested. Similarly, such instances are also being reported in mobile shops and cyber centres. Authorities concerned should withdraw the licence of such centres, he said adding that the district administration should form special teams to check the Love Jihad menace. Tulajaram requested people, who have information regarding Love Jihad, to inform VHP, Bajrang Dal, Mathru Mandali or Durga Vahini leaders. VHP Vice President Jagadish Shenava and Bajrang Dal convener Sharan Pumpwell were present.
