Born on May 12, 1939 at Vypeen near Kochi, Acharuparambil was ordained as a priest in March 1966 and was a member of Discalced Carmelite Order Manjummel Province. He was admitted to hospital on Saturday in a critical condition with liver complaints. The funeral will take place on Wednesday at 3.30 pm.
