Couple found hanging

A couple was found hanging from a ceiling fan of their house at Deepanjalinagar on Thursday.

The dead have been identified as Raju, 35, an autorickshaw driver and his wife Padmavathi, 26. They were married for four years and had a son. Their son was away at his grandparents’ home in Tumkur when the incident happened.A few years ago, the couple had migrated from Tumkur, their native place, to Bangalore.

Though the reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, police suspect that a financial problem might have pushed the couple to take the extreme step.

Neighbours broke open the door of the house, after none responded to their knocks on the door, late in the morning. They found the couple hanging from the ceiling fan.
