Despite all the confusion, the BJP government has governed the state as per the expectations and aspirantions of the people by emphasising on the ideas for the bright future of State. If Gujarat stands first in the country in effective implementation of 20 point programmes, Karnataka stands in the second position, said BJP National Vice President D V Sadananda Gowda.

He was speaking at the party workers’ convention in Belthangady. “We will use development work carried out by the government in the last five years will be our trump card.”

He said the State government has implemented all the programmes and schemes announced in the budget. The government mobilised additional resource of Rs 34,000 crore by checking the misuse of money, he said.

Ridiculing the confusion prevailing in the Congress over the selection of chief minister candidate, he said that BJP has unanimously selected Jagadish Shettar as the chief ministerial candidate unlike Congress.

“The Congress which speaks of giving priority to youth has not done the same in the district. Are Moily, Kharge, Oscar, Ramanath Rai, Vasanth Bangera, Janardhan Poojary still young? The people are fed up of old faces and are looking for new leaders. Ranjan Gowda has been given the ticket in Belthangady based on his contribution to the party as a worker,” he said.
