'Allow us to enter bus stand'

It is to facilitate concrete works that bus stand has been shifted to KSRTC depot but let alone providing infrastructure facilities, the commuters are not even allowed to enter the depot. “There are over 120 to 130 buses which are parked in the depot apart from the workshop space. There is no drinking water and toilet facilities for our employees. According to the Labour law, the employees are not allowed to enter the depot,” says an employee. It is due to this reason that the passengers are made to get down at the entrance of the depot itself.

Other employee said that the KSRTC bus stand which has all the facilities for the commuter is lying empty. Hence, during night time atleast the buses must be taken to this bus stand through Sampigekatte, Somwarpet road for the convenience of the passengers.
