LPG cylinders stolen from govt schools

Three cylinders were stolen from Government Higher Primary School in Holuru, while two were stolen from Government Lower Primary School in Maalenahalli and one from Government Lower Primary School in Jalapanahalli.

A complaint has been lodged with the rural police station, said Primary Teachers Association’s General Secretary Venkateshappa.

The cylinder theft cases should be solved and actions should to be taken to control them, said Venkateshappa, who added that a memorandum regarding this had already been submitted to Superintendent of Police. He, however, regretted the increase in theft cases.
Suggesting a joint operation by education department and police in solving the case, Venkateshappa added that children would face a tough time if concrete action is not taken against the menace.
