Alia Bhatt, who was last seen as the glamourous and ditzy Shanaya in Karan Johar’s much-hyped directorial ‘Student of the Year’, is definitely going places.

The starlet has just wrapped up the shooting of ‘2 States’, based on Chetan Bhagat’s popular book — opposite Arjun Kapoor — and is currently involved with Imtiaz Ali’s next project, ‘Highway’. The actress is obviously enjoying her stint with the movie — so much so that she can’t wait to resume shooting for it.

“We are travelling a lot. It’s a journey. I am having a great time. I can’t wait to go back and shoot more. Working with Imtiaz keeps getting better,” she says excitedly.
Alia is paired with Randeep Hooda in ‘Highway’ — an unlikely couple that is sure to generate much curiosity among movie-goers. The film’s story is allegedly about two people and the road trip that they embark upon.

The actress admits that she likes the fact that both the films she currently has in her kitty challenge her as an actress, albeit in different ways. “Everyone loves looking for change and challenges. I am so grateful that I am working on these two films. I am very excited. I could not have asked for anything better,” she smiles. Alia is playing a South Indian girl in ‘2 States’, and had to work hard to get her expressions and mannerisms for the role down pat. “I did have to learn a little Tamil to get the nuances of the language,” she admits.

A large part of the film has been shot in IIM-A and Alia is all praises for the college. “IIM-A is a beautiful institution and an integral part of the film and I am glad that we got to shoot there. I loved the book, I am so happy that I am a part of it,” she states.
