The meet will be held on Saturday and Sunday.
The 23-year-old Sindhu, an employee of Intel, and her city-mate Suman Chunagi were amongst twenty players selected to attend the national camp following the all-India 10-a-side rugby tournament held in Delhi.
The chosen were put through the drills in Balewadi, Pune, before twelve were selected to the Indian squad.
Chunagi, unfortunately, could not find a place in the squad.
Karnataka Rugby Football Union had formed the State women’s rugby team only two months ago.
The squad: Avani Sabade (captain), Kalpana Das, Neha Pardeshi, Sutapa Das, Priyanka Mondal, Vahbiz Bharucha, Vaishnavi Sose, Niharika Bal, Ketaki Khare, Gayatri Salunkhe, Sindhu Sreenath, Tapasi Nandi.
