JD(S) not interested in BJP's internal affairs: HDK

Last Updated 29 October 2009, 18:00 IST

“JD(S) had bitter experience with both Congress and BJP during coalition rule and will not seek support from both nor will it extend support to them to form a Government. We prefer to go before the people and seek fresh mandate if BJP lead Government collapses due to the present political crises,” he told reporters in Malenahalli village near here on Thursday.
Regarding the possibility of JD(S) extending support to BJP if Yeddyurappa falls short of majority, he said “Yeddyurappa repeatedly chided H D Deve Gowda and his sons as betrayers. He need not seek the support of betrayers to remain in power.”

A meeting of JD(S) leaders has been convened on Friday to discuss the political situation in the State. Re-construction and relief works in North Karnataka will also come for discussion at the meeting, he stated.

He ruled out possibility of indulging in attempts to de-stabilise the Government. “We are not interested in interfering in the internal affairs of BJP”, he said.
