<p>Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is likely to expand his Cabinet soon to induct one member from the Legislative Council.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Siddaramaiah, who met the party top brass here on Wednesday, reportedly got the approval to induct one member form the Upper House, sources told Deccan Herald. <br /><br />As per the rules, only a minister representing the Legislative Council should be the ruling party floor leader in the Upper House. With no member from the Council finding a place in the council of ministers constituted last week, the party decided to induct one member from the House to end the procedural imbroglio.<br /><br />Though senior leader S R Patil’s name was doing the rounds, other senior members of the Upper House, Motamma and Veeranna Mattikatti, are also lobbying hard for the post. <br /><br />Both Motamma and Mattikatti met Congress president Sonia Gandhi here and requested her to induct some of the members from the Upper House in the Cabinet.<br /><br />Senior leader D K Shivakumar, who was denied a ministerial berth, met Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi here. What transpired in the meeting is not known. However, sources said Rahul reportedly asked Shivakumar to wait for a few months and promised to do justice to him.<br /></p>
