'Migration of people affecting Kannada'

Last Updated 31 October 2009, 16:26 IST

“It is not possible to give all the programmes of government to people and further more it is not right to pin hope on reservation. Sarojini Mahishi report has spoken about reservation-priority but I do not know if it has been implemented or not,” he said when informed that Karnataka government has not been providing reservation for employment to those who have studied in border area Kannada schools.

Responding further, he said that the matter will be brought to the notice of state government. “I have no plans for other states. If people from this region give me a list of their problems, it will certainly be discussed. There are no special projects for development of Kannada in border regions,” he said.
He also promised to try his level best to provide justice to border area Kannadigas.
