Last Updated 29 May 2013, 21:34 IST

The custody of Gurunath Meiyappan, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) “honorary member” and BCCI chief's son-in-law, was extended by two more days by the metropolitan magistrate court on Wednesday.

Meiyappan was arrested on Friday midnight. He is in the eye of the storm of the on-going IPL betting and match rigging controversy.

Public pleader submitting the remand application before the court stated that the police had also issued summons to Chennai hotelier Vikram Agarwal with May 31 as deadline.
Investigators suspect that Agarwal who owns Radisson Blu acted as a middleman between actor Vindoo Dara Singh Randhawa and Meiyappan.
