Stylish Star Allu Arjun and director Puri Jagannadh join forces for Iddarammayilatho, a mushy romantic saga set in Spain. Given its overseas location, it’s a touristy tour de force giving a sumptuous glimpse into the picturesque, picador country. Sans this singular attraction, the film turns out to be a routine, ritualistic outing at theatres as the familiar love tale unfolds with a touch of mystery to its sting in the tale.

Allu Arjun plays guitarist Sanju Reddy with a band of his own. Enters Akanksha, the affluent daughter of Union minister Rao Ramesh, to pursue her higher education. She stumbles upon the personal diary of neighbour Komali Sankarabharanam which speaks of her love story with Sanju Reddy. A curious Akankasha seeks to ferret out more into why this cupid saga ended in their estrangement. In the process, the film provides the second romantic track as Akanksha too falls for Sanju Reddy. Where does this romance of romances of familiar beau caught between two beauties, head forms the rest of Iddarammayilatho.

Allu Arjun justifies his sobriquet “style” with the glitzy costumes adding to the allure. Amala Paul and Catherine Tresa have audiences drooling with their gorgeous and stunning, pretty presence. The rest are mere appendages for the plot to plod and potter towards its predictable end.
