IP varsity begins online counselling for BBA

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will start online counselling for Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course with National Informatics Centre (NIC) from Friday.

An officer said the process will be similar to the one followed by Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and other technical institutions.

“The students have to register on the varsity website. Printout bank challan have to be deposited with the prescribed fee. The registration will conclude on June 14 for all candidates,” the officer said.

In the second phase of counselling process, candidates have to choose their college and programmes, last date for which is June 24.

“From June 18 to 26 reserved candidates’ documents will be verified. Documents of general category candidates will not be verified.  List of provisionally allotted colleges and programmes according to merit will be displayed on the site on June 27,” the officer said.
Jamia Millia Islamia’s BTech course in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics& Communications and Computer Science streams received a total of 34,345 application forms against an intake of 350 seats for the academic session.

“This is an unprecedented response. Part of the reason for this rush is also the excellent placement record of the faculty in various prestigious national and multi-national companies,” an officer said.

The entrance test for the same on Saturday.
