Drop boxes installed to help customers at every gas agency

If you are a LPG customer and yet to submit documents to avail benefits under Direct Cash Transfer (DCT) scheme, drop all the related details at drop boxes installed in front of every gas agency.

Addressing a meeting of officers, Deputy Commissioner Ramegowda appealed to the consumers to submit the documents at the earliest, with DCT scheme planned to be launched in the district from July 1.

Customers have to provide Aadhaar numbers, besides bank account to enable the subsidy amount to be deposited directly to the account. That apart, Aadhaar number has to be given to the banks, where customers have their accounts. 

The account number of the bank given to gas agency and also for aadhaar has to be the same to make it easy for seeding the information. Those bereft of bank accounts have to open the same on priority to make use of the facility. 

The drop box facility made at every gas agency has to be utilised. The customers are advised to provide information on IFSC code of the bank, account number and photocopies of bank pass book, aadhaar card and also of LPG passbook.

It can be recalled that the DCT of LPG subsidies scheduled to launched on June 1 was delayed as model code of conduct was still in place in the district.
