<p>A 13-year-old boy has accused his father of killing his mother following a heated argument at their house in east Delhi’s Ghazipur on Monday, police said.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Kanti Devi alias Pushpa, 35, was the sole breadwinner for her two sons – Tapas, 13, and Hrithik, 8 – as her husband Sanjay Kumar was living separately for the last three years.<br /><br />According to police, Kanti was a security guard at a shopping mall in Ghazipur. She lived with her two sons in a rented accommodation in Ghazipur, while Sanjay lived along with his father at his native place in Bihar’s Vaishali district.<br /><br />In his complainant, Tapas stated that he along with his mother and Hrithik had gone to attend a marriage at his native place in Bihar last month, where his father met his mother.<br /><br />Later, his father, accompanied with another person, again met his mother to ease the husband-wife tiff as they were involved in a long-lasting grudge.<br /><br />“My father came to Delhi on June 5 and started living with us. However, my father again started quarreling with my mother and not a single day passed without any argument between them,” Tapas told police.<br /><br />It is claimed that Sanjay broke Kanti’s mobile phone during one of the arguments.<br />Tapas said on Sunday, after having dinner, he along with Hrithik went to the roof to sleep as his parents were indulging in another heated argument.<br /><br />On Monday morning, when he went inside the house, he found his mother lying in a pool of blood beneath the bed. Sanjay was absconding.<br /><br />Tapas immediately raised an alarm after which a call was made to the police control room.<br />“Kanti was taken to Lal Bahadur Shashtri Hospital, where she was pronounced brought dead,” a police officer said.<br /><br />Police said Kanti was hit on the head with a blunt object and had possibly died on the spot. A case of murder has been lodged against Sanjay over Tapas’s statement with Ghazipur police station.<br /></p>
