Maudany seeks bail

People’s Democratic Party leader Abdul Naseer Maudany has moved the High Court seeking bail on health grounds.

Maudany, in his submission, has stated that following the earlier High Court order, he underwent treatment at his own expense at Soukya Hospital in the City and the doctors had recommended regular medical screening. However, that did not take place. On June 8, 2013, after a medical screening, Maudany was warned by doctors that he may lose his eye sight and his legs may be amputated if he neglects his health further. He has submitted that his condition will worsen if he does not get proper medical treatment. The matter is likely to come up for hearing next week.
