The Karnataka Medical Council has decided to permanently remove the name of Dr Devaraju B from KMC Medical Registry (KMC registration number 59431) for reportedly violating the Code of Medical Ethics. According to an statement by KMC President Dr Chikkananjappa, the decision was taken by the Council at its meeting on May 30, 2013.
The KMC reportedly received a complaint from A Beerappa, a resident of Mysore, against the doctor on August 1, 2012. Several showcause notices sent to Dr Devaraju were returned unserved. He has also not appeared before KMC and has been reported as absconding by the complainant, according to the KMC President.
