<p>Vehicular movement from DVG Road Junction and Mallikarjuna temple street towards Netkallappa Circle has been prohibited, making it a one-way traffic. The restriction will be effective from June 24, said the City police.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Areas surrounding Basavanagudi, especially the Netkallappa Circle have been witnessing heavy traffic. <br /><br />Though a traffic signal was put up at the Netkallappa Circle, it did not help ease the situation, resulting in frequent traffic congestion, said M A Saleem, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic). <br /><br />“We conducted a survey of the area and decided to introduce one-way traffic on the last part of DVG Road that leads to Netkallappa Circle,” he added. However, movement of vehicles from the opposite direction is allowed.<br /><br />Vehicles from Gandhi Bazaar towards Netkallappa Circle will be restricted at DVG Road junction and Mallikarjuna temple street and they have to take a deviation either at left or right and reach Subbarama Chetty Road passing through the Mallikarjuna temple street.<br /></p>
