The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) comprising Chairman P L Punia, Vice Chairman Raj Kumar Verka and members Raju Parmar and M Shivanna, will hold a public hearing for inclusion/exclusion of castes/communities, sub-castes, synonyms in the Central List of Scheduled Cast- es for the State of Karnataka.
The hearing will be held at Dr B R Ambedkar Research Institute, Ambedkar Bhavan, Millers Road on Tuesday at 9.30 am. Public hearing for exclusion will be held for Lambani, Banjara, Bhovi, Koracha and Korama communities and inclusion for Bovi (Non-Besta) community.
The association/organisations or individuals of the above castes/sub-castes/communities can appear before the Commission during the programme and furnish all available information/data regarding above castes/sub-castes/communities. Any other association/organisation or individual who have any views to express on the matter can also participate.
