Where Himalayan tea blends with Alter's poetry!

Sipping your favourite tea after a hard day at work is probably the best way to unwind. It is these simple luxuries that make the monotonous life nothing short of paradise. If we tell you that you can now explore some finest tea flavours of the Himalayas, along with a romantic poetic session with the world famous Tom Alter, you would probably not believe us!

So while you sit back and enjoy the inspirational poetry reading session called ‘Reflections’ at Le Meridien on July 11, let the aroma of the seven blends of Anandini tea engulf you. Selected by Anamika Singh, tea sommelier and founder director of Anandini Himalayan Tea, the seven blends that would be served at the event are First Flush Tea – an amalgamation of Lavender and Lemongrass and Autumn Tea with rose petals and lemon balm. Along with these Green Teas with varying flavours – like rose petals and mint, Rhododendron and Himalayan Tulsi, Chamomile and Rose Hip, Fire Flame Blush and Mint, Pomegranate Flowers and Himalayan Tulsi – will be offered too.

Anandini Himalayan Tea plantations are located in the scenic beauty of the snow-capped Dhauladhar ranges in the Kangra region of the Himalayas. It has made tea-drinking an even more enriching experience by offering some innovative ‘blends’. And when you have the well-known Padma Shri awardee Tom Alter reciting poetry amidst the enticing tea aromas, the evening couldn’t have been planned better. Audiences will enjoy Alter’s recital of his own words, along with poems written by T.S Eliot, Maulana Azad, and Mirza Ghalib.
